The Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, organized the \u201cWorkshop Project: Exploring the World of Science and Innovation\u201d<\/strong> for Grade 9 students from Saraburiwitthayakhom School, Saraburi Province, on July 17, 2026, at the Chailerd Pichitpornchai Conference Room<\/strong>, Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, Nakhon Pathom Province.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Pirom Chenprakhon<\/strong>, Deputy Director for Research and Innovation, delivered the welcoming remarks to teachers and students, officially opening the workshop. The program was designed to inspire young learners to explore science, technology, and innovation through Active Learning<\/strong> and hands-on experiences, while encouraging their interest in STEM education and future career pathways.<\/p>\n

The workshop adopted the Learning by Doing<\/strong> approach, enabling students to develop analytical thinking, experimentation, and systematic problem-solving skills through a series of engaging activities. These included \u201cHow Can Beauty Be Measured?\u201d<\/strong>, which introduced scientific concepts behind perception and measurement in everyday life; \u201cWind Energy\u201d<\/strong>, which explored renewable energy and engineering principles; and \u201cFast & Furious\u201d<\/strong>, an interactive activity that integrated concepts of physics, engineering, and innovative design through collaborative experimentation and creative problem-solving.<\/p>\n

Throughout the program, students actively participated in learning experiences designed to strengthen critical thinking, creative thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration<\/strong>\u2014essential competencies for the 21st century. The workshop concluded with reflective learning activities that encouraged participants to connect their newly acquired knowledge with real-world applications and future innovation.<\/p>\n

The workshop was conducted by a team of experts from the Institute for Innovative Learning, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Namkang Sriwattanarothai<\/strong>, Deputy Director for Education and Networking, together with Ms. Atcharaphan Phothong, Dr. Pongpatai Kitrungloadjanaporn, Mr. Numchoke Kunmunwong, Mr. Phattanapong Konthaing,<\/strong> and Mr. Putcharasit Pejaroend<\/strong>. Throughout the activities, the team provided close guidance and mentorship, fostering an engaging, challenging, and inspiring learning environment.<\/p>\n

In addition, participating teachers joined a guided tour of the Institute\u2019s innovative learning facilities, including the Mahidol Media Lab, Multimedia Studio, Master Classroom,<\/strong> and Virtual Classroom<\/strong>. The visit offered valuable insights into the integration of digital technologies, multimedia, and innovative learning environments to support contemporary teaching and learning practices.<\/p>\n
