Associate Professor Dr. Kajornsak Buaraphan<\/strong>, Lecturer at the Institute for Innovative Learning (IL), Mahidol University<\/strong>, was invited to serve as a keynote facilitator for the \u201cBeginner Program Batch 20: Professional Development for New Academic Staff in Teaching and Learning\u201d<\/strong>, organized by King Mongkut\u2019s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT)<\/strong>. The two-day professional development workshop was held on July 6\u20137, 2026<\/strong>, at Pinijvitat (V Space), 14th Floor, Learning Exchange (LX) Building, KMUTT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the workshop, Associate Professor Dr. Kajornsak delivered interactive lectures and facilitated hands-on learning activities on the topics \u201cAssessing Learning Outcomes\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cTeaching Approaches for Learning Outcomes: Active Learning.\u201d<\/strong> The sessions were designed to strengthen new faculty members\u2019 knowledge and competencies in learning design, assessment, and learner-centered teaching practices aligned with the principles of Outcome-Based Education (OBE)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The workshop emphasized the evolving role of university instructors as Learning Designers<\/strong> and Learning Facilitators<\/strong>, encouraging participants to design meaningful learning experiences that actively engage students and support the achievement of intended learning outcomes. Through the application of Outcome-Based Education, Active Learning<\/strong>, and Assessment for Learning<\/strong>, participants explored practical strategies for designing effective teaching, assessment, and feedback practices that promote student engagement, meaningful learning, and sustainable development of learners’ competencies in higher education.<\/p>\n

The program was also aligned with the KMUTT Professional Standard Framework (PSF)<\/strong>, which serves as the University’s professional framework for teaching excellence. The framework aims to strengthen academic staff competencies in curriculum and learning design, learning outcomes-based assessment, and the selection of appropriate pedagogical approaches that respond effectively to diverse learner needs and educational contexts.<\/p>\n

Associate Professor Dr. Kajornsak’s participation in this program reflects the Institute for Innovative Learning’s<\/strong> continued leadership in educational innovation, Outcome-Based Education, faculty development, and professional learning in higher education. Through academic collaboration with partner universities, the Institute remains committed to advancing teaching excellence and supporting the continuous professional development (CPD) of academic staff, thereby contributing to the enhancement of higher education quality and the promotion of lifelong learning in the 21st century.<\/p>\n
