Institute for Innovative Learning (IL), Mahidol University, was invited by the Ministry of Science and Technology to participate in exhibitions and activities at the National Science and Technology Fair 2021. According to this, the Institute for Innovative Learning had participated in science lab activities named “Miracle Of Plant Pot”. About this, Asst. Prof. Dr Watcharee Ketpichainarong, Deputy Director of Research and Innovation, participated in the opening ceremony to represent the Institute. This event was held 9 – 19 November 2021 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province.
The “Miracle Of Plant Pot” actively encourages the participants to learn about soil properties, types, and characteristics, including other materials that play a crucial role in plant growth that benefits planting. The participants were allowed to mix different ratios of different soil types to grow their selected plants and create plant pots utilising the diffusion principle, a fundamental principle of how plants uptake nutrients and enable plant growth. In addition, the participants will learn about cultivation and the benefits of vegetable gardening.
