The Institute for Innovative Learning (IL), Mahidol University, celebrated its 24th Anniversary on August 21, 2026, at the Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus. The celebration brought together the Institute’s administrators, faculty members, staff, and distinguished guests in an atmosphere filled with warmth, smiles, and meaningful moments.
The ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Piyachat Jittatham, Director of the Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, who led the Institute’s faculty members and staff in paying homage to the Phra Phuttha Mahidol Mongkol Panyayan at the Mahidol Maha Siri Pheerayapat Buddha Pavilion and paying respects to Chao Pho Khun Thung, as part of the auspicious anniversary celebration.
The ceremony continued with an offering of lunch and traditional Thai offerings to Buddhist monks, followed by a Dhamma talk on “Ethics in the Workplace.” The session provided meaningful reflections and practical guidance to inspire faculty members and staff in carrying out their responsibilities with integrity, mindfulness, and commitment.
As part of the celebration, attendees also viewed a special video featuring reflections and messages from the Institute’s former and current executives, highlighting their experiences, memories, and perspectives on the development and journey of the Institute. The event also featured a fun IL Fan Quiz activity and a special commemorative gift-giving session, creating opportunities for faculty and staff to celebrate the Institute’s shared identity and achievements together.
A special Recognition and Awards Ceremony was also held to honor the contributions of the Institute’s three Directors: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wannapong Triampol, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chailerd Pichitpornchai, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Piyachat Jittatham. The three Directors shared valuable words of encouragement and guidance, emphasizing the importance of dedication, collaboration, and continuous development in advancing the Institute’s mission.
The Institute also presented awards recognizing outstanding contributions in teaching and learning, research, and academic services to academic staff. In addition, the Institute expressed appreciation and recognition to both academic and support staff whose outstanding achievements have received recognition at the national and university levels.
The 24th Anniversary celebration reflects the Institute for Innovative Learning’s continued commitment to advancing learning innovation, strengthening research and academic services, and developing people and knowledge for meaningful impact. The occasion also serves as an important opportunity for the IL community to celebrate its achievements, strengthen collaboration, and move forward together toward a future of innovative learning and sustainable educational development.
