Institute for Innovative Learning Hosts “STEM & Robotics Camp” to Strengthen STEM Skills among Special Program Students at Wat Suthiwararam School, September 7, 2026

The Institute for Innovative Learning (IL), Mahidol University, organized the workshop “STEM & Robotics Camp (STEM Activities)” for students in Grades 7–9 enrolled in the Special Program at Wat Suthiwararam School, Bangkok, on September 7, 2026, at the Satwatcharabutsakorn Meeting Room, Wat Suthiwararam School.

The program was designed to promote learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through hands-on learning experiences that encouraged students to explore, analyze, experiment, solve problems, and create solutions through active participation.

The program began with the “Wind Energy” activity, which introduced students to concepts related to wind energy and the application of scientific and technological knowledge through practical learning. The activity was led by Dr. Pongpatai Kijrungrojnaporn, Mr. Namchoke Khunmuenwong, Mr. Phatthanaphong Khonthiang, and Ms. Jiraporn Karaket.

Students then participated in “Blood Detective” (สืบจากเลือด), an activity designed to develop scientific thinking through observation, analysis, investigation, and systematic problem-solving. The activity was facilitated by Dr. Pongpatai Kijrungrojnaporn, Mr. Namchoke Khunmuenwong, Mr. Phatthanaphong Khonthiang, and Ms. Jiraporn Karaket.

In the afternoon, students took part in “Fast & Furious”, an activity that encouraged them to apply scientific and technological knowledge through designing, experimenting, and problem-solving. The learning process emphasized hands-on practice and teamwork, facilitated by Dr. Pongpatai Kijrungrojnaporn, Mr. Namchoke Khunmuenwong, Mr. Phatthanaphong Khonthiang, and Ms. Jiraporn Karaket.

The program concluded with a Debrief, Reflection, and Expanded Knowledge session, allowing students to review what they had learned, reflect on their experiences, and explore how scientific and technological knowledge could be applied to robotics innovation in everyday life. Awards and certificates were also presented to participants to recognize their achievements and encourage continued engagement in learning.

The activity reflects the Contribution of the Institute for Innovative Learning in bringing its expertise in Learning Innovation, STEM Education, and hands-on Learning Design to educational institutions. By creating practical and engaging learning experiences, IL helps bridge academic knowledge and real-world application, enabling students to experience how scientific and technological concepts can be transformed into solutions and innovations.

The program also creates meaningful Impact on learners by strengthening essential future-ready skills, including analytical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, and the application of technology. These competencies provide an important foundation for students to progress from being technology users to becoming creative problem-solvers and future innovators.

This initiative further demonstrates the Institute for Innovative Learning’s commitment to bringing learning innovation into practice—supporting the development of people, advancing educational quality, and cultivating learning experiences that prepare young learners to navigate and contribute to a future shaped by science, technology, and innovation.
