The Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, organized a STEM Day workshop under the Foundation Course for Grade 10 students at Mahidol University International Demonstration School (MUIDS) for the 2026 academic year. The program was designed to promote learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM Education) while fostering critical thinking, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills essential for the 21st century.
The workshop featured a series of engaging hands-on learning activities, highlighted by the “Smart AI Train” challenge, which provided students with opportunities to explore and apply scientific and technological concepts through experiential learning. The activity encouraged participants to integrate classroom knowledge with practical applications, inspiring them to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems.
Throughout the program, students strengthened their systems thinking, design thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and creative thinking skills by working together to develop solutions to authentic challenges. The interactive learning environment enabled participants to gain practical experience while cultivating the competencies required to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven and innovation-oriented world.
The STEM Day program reflects the Institute for Innovative Learning’s commitment to advancing innovative education through the integration of science, technology, and educational innovation. By creating meaningful experiential learning opportunities, the Institute aims to empower learners with higher-order thinking skills, creativity, and the confidence to become future innovators capable of contributing to sustainable social and national development.
