Assistant Professor Dr. Watcharee Kespichaiyarong, Deputy Director for Administration of the Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, was invited as a keynote speaker for the session “Active Learning for Graduate Students” as part of the Graduate Nursing Orientation Program, Academic Year 2026, held on July 31, 2026, at the Srisavarindhira Thai Red Cross Institute of Nursing. The session was designed to prepare newly admitted graduate students with essential learning concepts and skills for successful study at the graduate level.
The lecture focused on promoting an understanding of Active Learning and the importance of learner engagement in graduate education. Participants explored strategies for strengthening critical thinking, self-directed learning, collaborative learning, and the application of knowledge to solve professional nursing problems. The session was aligned with the principles of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and competency-based education, supporting the development of essential 21st-century skills for graduate students.
Assistant Professor Dr. Watcharee Kespichaiyarong is widely recognized for her expertise in higher education pedagogy, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), Active Learning, faculty development, and the design of learner-centered instructional activities. She has extensive experience serving as a trainer and consultant for academic staff development across higher education institutions, both within and beyond Mahidol University. Through interactive workshops, reflective learning, and experience-sharing approaches, she has continuously supported educators in enhancing teaching effectiveness and improving student learning outcomes.
