The Institute for Innovative Learning (IL), Mahidol University proudly contributed to the 25th National Conference on Science and Mathematics Education in Schools, held under the theme “Green STEM Education for Global Sustainability: Integration and Innovation.” The conference was jointly organized by the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST), Rajabhat Rajanagarindra University, and the Science, Mathematics and Technology Teachers Association of Thailand, and took place from July 24–26, 2026, at Rajabhat Rajanagarindra University, Chachoengsao Province.
Assistant Professor Dr. Piyachat Jittatham, Director of the Institute for Innovative Learning, Assistant Professor Dr. Watcharee Kespichaiyarong, Deputy Director for Administration, and Assistant Professor Dr. Namkhang Srivattanarotai, Deputy Director for Education and Network, were invited as keynote workshop speakers to conduct a professional development session entitled “Teaching, Learning, and Classroom Assessment in Science Education” on July 25, 2026.
The workshop focused on contemporary approaches to learning design and classroom assessment, emphasizing learner-centered pedagogy, meaningful learning experiences, and Assessment for Learning (AfL) practices that support student development. Participants explored practical strategies for designing effective science learning environments and assessment methods aligned with the demands of 21st-century education.
The three speakers are widely recognized for their expertise in educational innovation, curriculum development, and faculty development. Assistant Professor Dr. Piyachat Jittatham specializes in educational innovation, digital learning technologies, and technology-enhanced teaching and learning. Assistant Professor Dr. Watcharee Kespichaiyarong is an expert in learning design, Active Learning, faculty development, and higher education quality enhancement. Assistant Professor Dr. Namkhang Srivattanarotai specializes in Outcome-Based Education (OBE), learning assessment, curriculum design, and the integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance teaching and learning in higher education.
The invitation extended to the Institute’s academic staff to serve as workshop speakers at this national conference reflects the Institute for Innovative Learning’s recognized leadership in educational innovation, curriculum and instructional development, and professional development for educators.
