Assistant Professor Dr. Piyachat Jittam, Director of the Institute for Innovative Learning, Assistant Professor Dr. Watcharee Ketpichainarong, Deputy Director for Administration, Assistant Professor Dr. Namkang Sriwattanarothai, Deputy Director for Education and Networking, and Assistant Professor Dr. Wararat Wongkia, Program Chair, warmly welcomed representatives from the SEAMEO Regional Centre for STEM Education (SEAMEO STEM-ED) during their visit to the Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, on June 30, 2026.
The visiting delegation included Dr. Kesara Amornvutivorn, Director of Project Development, Assistant Professor Dr. Burin Assawapiphop, Senior Programme Manager, Mr. Cherdchai Sansud, and Mr. Aljhun Datchberll Gile Tapalla. The meeting took place at the Library (Room 203), 2nd Floor, Institute for Innovative Learning Building.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Institute’s digital learning classrooms and innovative learning spaces, gaining insights into educational environments designed to support contemporary teaching and learning practices. The visit also included discussions with the Institute’s executive team and program leadership, together with Associate Professor Dr. Pannarasee Rittiprawat from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Mahidol University.
The discussion focused on exploring collaborative approaches to advance “Future-ready Learning for Improving STEM Teachers’ Capacity” through partnerships across Thailand and the ASEAN region. Participants exchanged ideas on strengthening teacher competencies, promoting innovative learning ecosystems, and integrating educational technology to better prepare educators and learners for future challenges.
This meeting reflects the role of the Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, in connecting expertise in learning innovation, educational technology, and teacher capacity development with regional collaboration networks. The partnership aims to create new opportunities for advancing STEM education and developing future-oriented learning that responds effectively to emerging educational needs.
