The Institute for Innovative Learning (IL), Mahidol University, contributed to the development of science, technology, and innovation skills through the CODE & CREATE Project-Based Learning Camp (Smart Project, Smart Coding), held from October 12–14, 2026, at the Phibun Suwannaphum Auditorium, 2nd Floor, Sarasas Suvarnabhumi Institute of Technology. The camp aimed to promote project-based learning, coding skills, and the creation of practical innovations. The training was delivered by Dr. Pongpatai Kitrungloadjanaporn and Mr. Numchoke Kunmunwong.
The camp covered fundamental project development skills, including problem identification, project topic formulation, and the types and stages of science projects. Participants also explored microcontrollers, introductory coding, and device connectivity through the Internet of Things (IoT), including the use of sensors and system connections for data transmission and communication.
Building on these foundational skills, participants engaged in Innovation Design, where they developed ideas, created prototypes, and practiced building, testing, and systematically improving their innovations.
At the final stage of the camp, participants further developed their projects and presented their work at the Sarasas Showcase, demonstrating how their innovations operated. This activity highlighted the connection between scientific and technological knowledge and hands-on application, allowing participants to transform ideas into practical projects.
The program underscored the value of project-based learning in strengthening analytical thinking, problem-solving, coding, and innovation design skills. It also encouraged creativity and enabled learners to turn acquired knowledge into tangible outcomes. Through its expertise in learning innovation and educational technology, the Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, continues to support the development of technology-integrated learning experiences and essential skills for learners in the digital era.
