The Institute for Innovative Learning (IL), Mahidol University, organized the “STEM & Robotics Camp: Robot War” workshop for Grade 4–6 students from Bangkok Christian College on July 18, 2026, at Trinity Hall, 11th Floor, John A. Eakin Building, Bangkok Christian College.
The workshop aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the fundamental concepts, principles, processes, and stages of innovation development through engaging STEM and robotics activities. The program provided opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in innovation, develop problem-solving skills, and apply scientific and technological knowledge to create and improve their own innovative solutions. It also encouraged participants to recognize the importance of innovation in contributing to the sustainable development of society and the nation.
The highlight of the program was the Robot War activity, where students worked collaboratively to design, build, program, and test their robots before participating in friendly competitions. Through this challenge-based learning experience, participants developed essential STEM competencies, including computational thinking, engineering design, creativity, teamwork, communication, and strategic problem-solving. The activity fostered confidence and inspired students to explore innovative ideas while applying their knowledge in authentic situations.
The workshop was led by the Institute’s experienced STEM education team, including Dr. Pongphathai Kijrungrojnaporn, Mr. Numchok Khunmuenwong, and Mr. Phattanaphong Khonthiang, who provided expert guidance and close mentorship throughout the program. Their interactive teaching approach created an engaging and inspiring learning environment that encouraged students to experiment, collaborate, and develop innovative thinking.
Through initiatives such as the STEM & Robotics Camp, the Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, remains committed to promoting STEM education and innovation-based learning. By providing meaningful hands-on experiences, the Institute continues to empower young learners with the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to become creative problem-solvers and future innovators in an increasingly technology-driven world.
