The Institute for Innovative Learning (IL), Mahidol University, organized the “STEM & Robotics Camp: Blaze Breaker Bot” workshop for Grade 7–12 students from Horwang School, Chatuchak, Bangkok, on July 19, 2026. The program was designed to promote learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM Education) through hands-on robotics activities that fostered creativity, critical thinking, and engineering design skills while encouraging students to apply scientific knowledge to solve real-world challenges.
The highlight of the workshop was the Blaze Breaker Bot activity, where students explored the principles of robotics, engineering, and computational thinking by designing, assembling, programming, and testing robots to accomplish mission-based challenges. Through experiential learning, participants developed essential 21st-century competencies, including problem-solving, teamwork, communication, logical reasoning, and innovation.
The workshop was conducted by the Institute’s experienced STEM education team, led by Dr. Pongphathai Kijrungrojnaporn, Mr. Phattanaphong Khonthiang, and Assistant Professor Dr. Montamorn Preecharat, who shared their expertise and provided close guidance throughout the activities. Their interactive and learner-centered approach created an engaging learning environment that encouraged students to experiment, collaborate, and confidently transform ideas into innovative solutions.
Through initiatives such as the STEM & Robotics Camp, the Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, continues to advance STEM education by integrating science, technology, engineering, and innovation into authentic learning experiences.
