The Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, organized a STEM Day Workshop under the Foundation Course for Grade 10 students of Mahidol University International Demonstration School (MUIDS) for the Academic Year 2026. The workshop aimed to promote learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM Education) while enhancing students’ analytical thinking, teamwork, and creative problem-solving skills.
The STEM Day Workshop featured a variety of engaging hands-on learning stations, including Wind Energy and The Challenging Iodine Experiment, providing students with opportunities to explore scientific concepts and apply STEM knowledge through inquiry-based activities and practical experimentation. The activities encouraged participants to connect classroom learning with innovation and real-world problem-solving.
Throughout the workshop, students developed essential competencies such as systems thinking, collaborative problem-solving, creative design, and teamwork by working together to address authentic challenges. These learning experiences were designed to strengthen the key skills required for the 21st century and prepare students for a rapidly evolving world driven by science, technology, and innovation.
The workshop was conducted by the Institute’s STEM education team, including Dr. Pongphathai Kijrungrojnaporn, Mr. Numchok Khunmuenwong, Mr. Patcharasit Peecharoen, and Mr. Phattanaphong Khonthiang, who guided students through interactive learning activities and facilitated knowledge exchange throughout the program.
