The Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, organized the “STEM & Robotics Camp (AI Activity)” for Grade 10 students from the Science, Mathematics, Technology, and Environment (SMTE) Program at Prakhonchai Pittayakhom School, Buriram Province, during June 18–19, 2026, at Classrooms 201–202, 2nd Floor, Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, Nakhon Pathom.
The workshop was designed to provide students with opportunities to explore and experience the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) through a hands-on learning approach under the theme of AI-based Machine Vision. The program focused on developing skills in programming, computational thinking, intelligent system design, and the application of AI technologies to create innovative real-world solutions.
Throughout the workshop, participants were introduced to the fundamental concepts of AI and its growing role in today’s world. Students then advanced to learning how to use the micro board, program and control devices, connect and operate Expansion boards, and experiment with integrating AI technologies into interactive systems capable of responding intelligently to commands and environmental inputs.
During the project development sessions, students collaborated to brainstorm ideas, design, and build prototype projects that combined programming knowledge with AI concepts. They later presented their creations and demonstrated how their AI systems functioned, helping strengthen analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
In addition, participating teachers joined the “IL Learning Innovation Tour”, where they explored future-oriented educational innovations at the Institute and exchanged perspectives on learning approaches that support student development in the digital era.
The workshop was led by Dr. Pongpatai Kitrungloadjanaporn as the main instructor, with Putcharasit Pejaroend serving as the assistant instructor. Together, they provided close guidance and shared their expertise throughout the activities, inspiring students to become future creators of technology and innovation.
